Professional medical equipment stays in Tulipan Park Poznań
ArjoHuntleigh, which is a part of the Getinge Group, one of the leading global medical technology companies, has extended cooperation with SEGRO within Tulipan Park Poznań. The company will stay on 17 000 sq m of currently leased warehouse space with an office and social unit.
Arjohuntleigh is a world's leading producer of medical equipment, employing 4500 people in over 30 countries. The company provides a broad variety of integrated solutions aimed at improving the quality and efficiency of care for people with reduced mobility in hospitals and other health care facilities. The ArjoHuntleigh's portfolio includes medical equipment, hygiene systems, medical beds, therapeutic mattressess, as well as disinfectors and diagnostics products.
ArjoHuntleigh started operating in Poland in 2007 in Tulipan Park Poznań, located in Komorniki near Poznań, where the company currently employs over 535 people. The factory's assembly line delivers 150 lifters, 650 medical beds and 700 mattressess for people requiring special care per week. Since 2009, the Polish subsidiary of ArjoHuntleigh has been implementing modern production management system - Lean Manufacturing - based on the philosophy of reducing losses while improving the work processes and enhancing the quality of products. "In ArjoHuntleigh we attach great importance to creating friendly working environment. The production management system in our factory in Komorniki is based on 5S practices, enabling the employees to work harmoniously in a well-structured environment, and Kaizen method, based on gradual improvement of all aspects of the business thanks to the involvement of our employees," - adds Paweł Cisowski, CEO ArjoHuntleigh Poland.
The business space leased by ArjoHuntleigh is a part of Tulipan Park Poznań. Waldemar Witczak, Regional Director SEGRO, highlights the advantages of the investment: "The main advantage of the facility is its excellent location: on the border of Komorniki and Plewiska municipalities, just 10 km from the centre of Poznań, in the vicinity of the Moscow - Berlin A2 motorway and the national road no. 5 to Wrocław. The investment, which when fully developed will eventually provide 230,000 sq m of flexible warehouse and production space, presents a great development potential. At present, Tulipan Park Poznań offers 126 000 sq m of existing business space. The next phase, a facility of 8,700 sq m is already fully prepared, allowing for fast-track construction. An additional 96,000 sq m of business space can be developed on the 23-hecatre site, which is perfectly visible directly from the motorway."
